A new re-issue appeared today, entitled Swing and serenade: the Bing Crosby golf classics. Only three songs though: Anthem of the clams, Tomorrow's my lucky day, Straight down the middle.
I could have thought of some more titles ...
It's available on the streaming services; Spotify, YouTube and what have you.

A very interesting topic. Personally, I don't quite know what to think about it and what I have heard thus far does not sound really good to my ears. But who nows how this will develop further. It is interesting to follow what's happening, and there are several examples on YouTube alone. I heard Bing 'sing' Bohemian Rhapsody (unfortunately no longer available) and also Killing me softly with her song (). Even the accompanying picture seems to be AI-generated! It also seems to work the other way around, by taking a song performed by Bing and making it sound like it's sung by another artist. Take for instance this example of Bing's La vie en rose () which is made to sound like it's sung by Frank Sinatra.
Certainly not perfect yet, these AI attempts but as said, who knows how this will develop further.

I see that there are now five albums in the 'Bing Crosby sings and swings' series (I guess it is a series now). Three albums of 'Bing Crosby sings and swings love songs', another one 'sings and swings Hawaiian' and the fifth 'sings and swings latin'. Nothing new, as far as I could see. However, I am still hoping for something new - one day!

I was pleasantly suprised when I re-listened to Bing's interpretation of Stormy Weather. I for one would love to see these songs from 1965-1968 released in a remastered version.

What interesting news! In my opinion, Bing's music has already never been easier or cheaper to access (if you are prepared to use today's digital streaming platforms) - the challenge and perhaps the focus of this company will be geared towards getting Bing a higher profile with younger generations. But maybe we will get a few CD's and Blurays/DVD's as well; who knows.

What a great find, Greg and Malcolm! While I know of radio programmes where a disc got played more than once by an enthousiastic announcer, I have never heard or seen an encore asked for and performed live on tv. Another Crosby first?

I recently came across an interesting page on the Getty Images website, with many video's of Bing,
much of which was new to me. Behind the scene shots during the making of his movies, material from war bond drives, etc. In my opinion, it's well worth your while taking a look at:
