If you haven't yet, I did see that the estate announced there'll be released a remix of White Christmas with some singer, a duet version between Bing and her.
Thoughts, anyone?

I never liked these attempts of digital combined music; half the magic is lost in the process. The Bing Crosby White Christmas single version is the best-selling record of all time. The song is the epitome of an all-time favorite Christmas classic and the attempts to create a competitive version always failing after momentary presence in the spotlight. Some years ago, Michael Buble sung with Bing (using his 1971 Christmas Special version of the song), although it was a nice tribute with Buble sharing his admiration for Bing Crosby and saying he is fulfilling a dream with singing with him I do not think that Bing’s legacy is earning more value or recognition. I do not expect much from this announcement. I hope that some fans of the artist V of BTS might discover Bing Crosby and learn about his music, but I seriously doubt that it would make any difference. The only think I know it’s that I am not the audience for that kind of projects.
The Crosby family has done a lot during the years to perpetuate the legacy of Bing Crosby, many collaborations, agreements, documentary contributions, the successful Primary Wave deal etc. Any new release and project offers publicity to Bing Crosby and stimulates the interest of the general public. I didn’t know the artist V but I googled him and it seems that he is very popular in South Korea, the Eastern Asia area has a population of 1,6 billion people so it may be an opportunity for them to learn about Bing Crosby and his music. So I hope that this would be a successful release.

I hadn't heard of them either, Carmela, but that's probably more of an indictment for me considering my age.
I would generally agree, Pantelis, that such "collaborations" (I don't know if that is the right word considering Bing in no way worked with this) can be rather poor, and that promoting an artist's legacy can be better accomplished in other ways. However, I do find it rather touching that these artists would even want to do something like this, and shows that Bing's name does still hold some weight. Also, even if only a couple more people came to appreciate Bing from this, I think that that would make this in some sense worth it.
