Once again a memorable meeting in Leeds last w/e.
Nice to catch up with folks from previous years and also to meet newcomers as well.
Also to meet Richard (controller of this site) and his wife and also a well known name in John Walton.
As usual Malcolm put a very good programme together and Michael advised that the Club is still doing well and we're all hoping we can last until the 50th. such meeting.
Well done to all concerned.

Very good to meet you too Ron, and to hear your anecdotes about meetings with Bing.
A group of enthusiasts all able to share their enthusiasm and discover things they might otherwise have missed.
And it was interesting to note that we did not all possess thinning grey hair and long memories. There were a number of "youngers" among us, at least one of whom has contributed to this discussion board.

I can only echo all of the above...
As always, a huge vote of thanks is due to Malcolm and Michael for the work they put in to making the event such a success.
As I've said before on this bulletin board, this is a group of people who only meet for a few hours once a year, but there is always a very strong sense of being amongst friends.
It was good to see you and Anita again, Ron, but it was particularly gratifying for me to meet Richard (our moderator) and his good lady. Richard has been extremely helpful to me over the past couple of years with both his time and his willingness to share his vast knowledge of all matters Crosby.
I very much look forward to the first Sunday in October, 2014. It seems like a long way off, but it soon comes around..!

One of the items shown at Leeds was a DVD-ROM put together by John Marshall giving much detail about each of Bing's films. John has now put his files on the Internet at
Click on the link alongside each film to see the information.

The Powerpoint viewer can be downloaded from Microsoft's site here
John Marshall's work covers over 100 slides and in the Powerpoint form is really something to scroll through with lots of news clips and reviews of the time plus an amazing collection of cinema foyer cards.
Wholeheartedly recommended to all.
