The March 2013 issue of Alaska Airlines inflight magazine has the following in their crossword.
Bing Crosby song. No clues as to the number of words etc.
I tried White Christmas but that was too short, so I cheated and went to
the solution page.
Bing only sang about 6,000 songs, so there is a wide choice.
Anyway, the answer is 'Swinging On A Star'.
A number of crosswords would have shown that as:-
Bing Crosby song: 8, 2,1,4
However, nice to see that the person who compiles the crossword though of our man.

This area will have to do and to save opening up a new section.
In the 'letters' section of the Sydney Morning Herald for Monday 6th. May a writer refers to Bing.
There is a bit of a shin-ding going on about race horses - I haven't followed the whole business.
The writer refers to Bing's song 'The Horse Told Me' and quotes two lines of the song - The owner told Clarence the Clocker/the clocker told jockey McGee/the jockey of course passed it onto the horse/and the horse told me.
The writer goes on to suggest that the inquiry should ask the horse tyhe detail.
Go to: www.smh.com.auÂ
then to 'comments' then to 'letters' (for 6th. May) then scroll down.
Nice to see Bing mentioned.

Have any of the past Crosby fan periodicals, published over the years, carried a Crosby-related crossword puzzle? That might be an interesting feature.
