The Life And Times of Buddy Clark

Next to Bing Crosby, Buddy Clark is my 2nd favorite male singer. A few weeks ago I did a profile of his talented but short life...

Thanks for posting!
Buddy Clark was a fine singer of the big band era.Love Somebody is one of his best records. He was very good in duets as well.

Well done, David. I enjoyed your tribute to Buddy Clark. He had many hit records and fans in Australia. I was in high school when he died and I recall hat one of my classmates was quite distressed by the news.

Re: The Life And Times of Buddy Clark

I bought three Buddy Clark CDs on E Bay about three years ago,  a very good singer who died tragically young , up there with Bing, Dick Haymes, Perry Como, Billy Eckstine, Vic Damone, Tony Martin and Frank Sinatra.,I first became familiar with him when the late Frank Skerrett a radio presenter on Radio Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland had often played his records on his show he hosted from 1974 until his death in 1992 otherwise i probably wouldn't have known his music as his recordings were only available on imports.. Jerry Vale recorded a tribute album "I Remember Buddy" in 1958. Frank Skerrett also hosted a one hour special playing his music sometime back in 1986.

For years now Buddy Clark has been my second favorite singer after Bing.

Re: The Life And Times of Buddy Clark

Thanks for the Buddy Clark tribute,  i enjoyed it if it wasn't for you and other people like the late Frank Skerrett , there's a danger that Buddy Clark would have  been  forgotten today.

Another completely forgotten crooner is Dick Todd. I am working on a tribute to him as well.
