Hi Malcolm! I should have been more clear in my post. I was looking for episodes from the period 1936-1941. The episodes at the link you provided are mostly KMH under Jolson's tenure in the late '40s. Thanks for the response though!
@Lobosco, I agree the music from the Hall was stellar. Some catchy, wonderful gems like "Twist of the Wrist," "Couldn't be Cuter," "How Could You?," "Hut-Sut Song," etc. A lot of stuff that Bing never formally recorded.

Recently I have become absolutely addicted to the Kraft Music Hall. Specifically the hour episodes featuring Bing and Bob Burns. They have such an easy chemistry and the skits and guest stars were top notch. KMH at that time was like a wonderful cross between Saturday Night Live and the Tonight Show. Unfortunately, from what I've read, the vast majority of the shows from 1936-1941 have been lost. The site I've downloaded episodes from only has 12 episodes of the 250 or so broadcast from that period. Does anyone know of any resource or website where I can get my KMH fix?

I see everyone has already pointed you in the right direction insofar as Bing biographies. The only one you need to concern yourself with is the two-volume work by Giddins. As far as music I would recommend three CDs from an aspect of Bing's career that doesn't get a lot of attention, the songs from his radio show the Kraft Music Hall. "Bing In the Hall," "Lost Radio Recordings from 1935 and 1936," and "Here's Bing Crosby: Radio Broadcasts 1938-1946." These three CDs can be found on Amazon or eBay and feature a lot of absolute gems that Bing never formally recorded.

Does anyone else find the cover of volume two a little...underwhelming? The cover of volume one was absolutely gorgeous. It had the visual appeal to capture the attention of anyone browsing through the shelves of a bookstore searching for a good read. Volume two has all the visual appeal of an algebra textbook. Don't get me wrong, I've been eagerly awaiting volume two since I devoured the first volume over five years ago. I can't wait to dig in the moment it hits my Kindle but, from a sales standpoint, I think the cover should have a look more in line with volume one.
