Recently I have become absolutely addicted to the Kraft Music Hall. Specifically the hour episodes featuring Bing and Bob Burns. They have such an easy chemistry and the skits and guest stars were top notch. KMH at that time was like a wonderful cross between Saturday Night Live and the Tonight Show. Unfortunately, from what I've read, the vast majority of the shows from 1936-1941 have been lost. The site I've downloaded episodes from only has 12 episodes of the 250 or so broadcast from that period. Does anyone know of any resource or website where I can get my KMH fix?

I had a friend in England who had all of the Bing Crosby KMH shows on reel-to-reel tape. He was transferring the songs to CD for me when he unfortunately passed away.
I cherish these CDs and I have the years 1937 thru 1941 and 1943. Great music!

Hi Malcolm! I should have been more clear in my post. I was looking for episodes from the period 1936-1941. The episodes at the link you provided are mostly KMH under Jolson's tenure in the late '40s. Thanks for the response though!
@Lobosco, I agree the music from the Hall was stellar. Some catchy, wonderful gems like "Twist of the Wrist," "Couldn't be Cuter," "How Could You?," "Hut-Sut Song," etc. A lot of stuff that Bing never formally recorded.

OK I have CDs of some of the KMH songs from complete seasons. I was trying to figure out how to share them. Should I just upload them to my You Tube channel or should I make CDs for those interested?
The quality of the songs are fair to very good.

There are several items of software free to private users that will download video and audio from sites such as YouTube.
One is 4k Video Downloader which is available from
There are others - just search on "Video Downloader" and most of those that I have found have options relating to different video quality, alternative device platforms and audio or video. Most concentrate on downloads from Youtube but several (including the one I name) cover other popular sites.
Those that I have tried are straightforward to use but the time taken to download will of course depend on the quality of your connections. All depend on pasting the precise address of the item to be downloaded into the application.
Some will offer additional paid for services but they are not essential for the base operation.

I love the Internet Archive site, but I haven't looked into how to upload on there. You Tube is the easiest for me.
If anyone wants CDs of the KMH songs I have from my friend, let me know. The sound is not perfect but they are rare. I may upload some of them on the Internet Archive site or You Tube - it just depends on my time.
