I suppose most of us have heard Bing pronounce 'Los Angeles' with a hard 'g' sound, Recently I listened to a nostalgia program from a community radio station in Sydney which included a radio transcript of one of Tommy Dorsey's  programs in which the announcer used the same pronunciation as Bing. It's the first time, I believe, that I'd heard anyone else pronounce it that way. Is or was it a common pronunciation?
