New History of Decca Records

A book about Decca Records with of course mention of Bing, has been announced.- "The Supreme Record Company".

More details here https://www.udiscovermusic.com/news/supreme-record-company-documents-deccas-first-90-years/

The blurb seems to me to obscure the fact that Decca has passed through different ownerships, with the original British parent losing control of the American arm during the war, with both arms ultimately becoming little more than  marketing names of a larger whole.

Re: New History of Decca Records

Thanks Richard. Although Bing went to US Decca in 1934 Australians couldn't buy them until February 1936 when Columbia Graphophone (Australia) secured the rights yo manufacture and sell Deccas in this country.
