Does anyone remember this Jack Benny radio moment?
Bing was appearing on on Jack Benny's radio show. The premise was that Jack fired his group The Sportsmen, and he was auditioning a group that consisted of Bing, Dick Haymes (1918-1980), Andy Russell (1919-1992), Dick Haymes (1918-1980), and Dennis Day (1916-1988). Bing can't hit the high note, and he adds in a slight curse. Supposedly the censors were upset, but it was radio gold! This was recorded on March 16, 1947...
