When was Bing's Noel Coward medley recorded? I thought I had it written somewhere. It really makes me wish he would have done a whole album of Noel Coward. It is a perfect pairing...

Bing was - rather belatedly - repaying the compliment. Here’s “The Master” singing “Love in Bloom”.

Nice one, Jeremy. Bing's Noel Coward medley was recorded from one of his shows at the London Palladium in 1977, just before he died.

Coward recorded “Love in Bloom” in London on 26th October 1934 - a few months after Bing’s recording on 5th July of the same year.
The booklet notes of my CD set of Coward’s recordings - by the late English writer and critic Sheridan Morley - say of “Love in Bloom”, “A rare example of Noel recording the work of other composers, in this case a MINOR Robin-Rainger number”. (My capitals..!)

I believe there was talk that Bing was going to do a Noel Coward album but he died. Would have been a good album too.

What a good sound quality. Does anyone know if the entire 1977 show (or shows) is/are available somewhere in this quality?

I wish it was. I'm sure someone has it somewhere!
