Thanks Lars. I'd not seen that film. It had mixed reviews in Australia when it was released in late 1945 and its runs in first release cinemas were modest. The radio program Duffy's Tavern would not have been well known in Australia although, because there were many US service personnel in Australia during the war, apparently some of the programs were broadcast here in the northern areas.
