Ken Carpenter
Despite being a prolific announcer, there is not much out there on the great Ken Carpenter. He worked with Bing for years too!

Ken Carpenter was fun. I was surprised to hear him as the voice of Dick Powell's character's Oscar in Susan Slept Here.

Try and get hold of: 'On the Air: The Encyclopedia of Old Time Radio' by John Dunning (Oxford University Press 1998). In this you can see that Ken Carpenter was the announcer on many other radio shows. I can list them for you if you would like me too.
