My only copy of the Bing N Basie recordings was from an LP to CD transfer. I finally picked up the official CD of the record on ebay for $2.99. I think it was a decent deal!

The last time I listened to "Bing N Basie" I recall that it was beginning to grow on me, but listening to it still is an experience in frustration. When I put it on the turntable I always want to hear as good song choices and arrangements as on my Basie and Bennett LP, but those qualities aren't there. It's not bad album, I just want it to be one of Bing's greatest albums, but I don't hear that. Maybe the CD would sound better to me.....????
