Jeremy Thorpe - UK MP
Opening night of Bing at the London Palladium 1976, Ted Rogers made some unkind remarks about Jeremy. I went again a couple of nights later and the remarks had been removed. No doubt Bing did this as there had been some press about Thorpe's private life.
I have just read that Jeremy Thorpe has died.

Bing probably did not want to get involved in anything controversial just as well for although Thorpe was cleared of a conspiracy to murder charge, it was alleged after Thorpe's death that he may have been guilty after all.
