Having recently discovered and posted links to the ''Life'' series of ''How The West Was Won'', I've done some more browsing.
Among the earlier references to Bing is in the issue for 5 September 1938, where on pages 52 and 53 there is an illustrated review of ''Sing You Sinners'', followed on pages 54 and 55 by a feature on Bing himself.
Quite a bit of interesting stuff here and some good pictures.
