Rights dispute over Hogan's Heroes

The Hollywood Reporter contains a report about a dispute over writer's rights -  'separated rights'.

The report of 21 March is here

I never saw any of the series (and I'm not even sure it was ever shown in the UK).

Re: Rights dispute over Hogan's Heroes

We should remember that Bing sold Bing Crosby Productions in 1967 so it is the prsent owners who will be involved in this legal action.

Re: Rights dispute over Hogan's Heroes

Hogan's Heroes was still being produced after 1967.  A VHS tape I have of two episodes includes one from 1966 and one from 1968.  Incidentally, the tape shows the copyright holder as CBS Video, though it was distributed by 20th Century Fox (www.foxhome.com).

Re: Rights dispute over Hogan's Heroes

"Hogan's Heroes" was transmitted in the UK, it used to be shown on Scottish Television at 9.30pm on sunday nights during 1969 to 1970 then shown in different days and time slots strangely enough the last series was shown on Sunday afternoons on STV in the autumn of 1976 i think about 4.00pm on Sunday afternoons seven years after it ended in 1971 in 1978 the actor Bob Crane was murdered in sordid circumstances.

Re: Rights dispute over Hogan's Heroes

It is on 2 times every week night here in New York before Carol Burnett on MeTv. I don't watch it, saw them years back when I was small. I know the show was a hit but not one of my favorites. Great cast.
