Could i mail a 5 pound package media mail? What is the cheapest way? From USA to Australia?
Offline
Not sure if US Post Office takes an item that size. If you did send it 'snail mail'. Then it goes on the first ship that is leaving, but not necessarily the fastest.
Sometimes a ship might leave a couple of days later but arrive earlier, sometimes by a week or two, depending on the route and ports of call.
Then there is FedEx, TNT, DHL. They would go by air but could be cheaper.
You'll have to make a couple of phone calls Carmelia.

According to the USPS, Media Mail can be up to 70 lbs, but it seems to be domestic only.

Meant to post yesterday but got caught up in other things.
The local P.O. gave 3 different charges - about $60, $80 and $160, depending on how you wish to send it.
Carmelia, I'm in Washington State, not in Australia, so it would be cheaper to send to here.
