Dear Richard,
It has taken me a while because I have been quite busy lately with my classes at the university and other things, but I finally have gotten a chance to register in the forum and write my first comment. I would like to thank you for letting everyone know about my blog on vintage jazz, pop, and the crooners, The Vintage Bandstand. I started it a couple of years ago, when I was living in Memphis (I live with my wife, Erin, in Martin, TN, now) as a way to contribute to the literature already being published online about my favorite kind of music. My intention with the blog is to offer some information about both the big stars and the lesser-known names in vintage jazz and pop. Being my favorite singer of all time, of course, Bing Crosby is featured in the blog, and in fact, I began the website with a brief article on two of Bing's albums from the 1960s. I just wish I had more free time to publish articles more often...
Thanks again for your very kind words about The Vintage Bandstand, and I invite everyone to look through the blog and leave comments about the articles. I also look forward to joining the different discussions here at the Crosby Fan World forum, which I find excellent and very informative!
