High Society and White Christmas were selected for preservation in the Library of Congress National Film Registry for being culturally, historically, and aesthetically important. This is one of the highest honors a film can receive after it's original release, and is is nice to see that Bing is honored with two of his films joining the list of the now 925 registered films.
White Christmas and High Society were also the only Golden Age films to be included in the list this year.
This is the fourth and fifth films of Bing to be included after King of Jazz, Road to Morocco and Going My Way
