Have just heard the very sad news of the death of Glen Campbell at the age of 81. By a bizarre co-incidence, I watched the 1968 Hollywood Palace clip of Bing and Glen singing, "1432 Franklin Pike Circle Hero" just yesterday...
RIP...

He had his demons as we all do...but he was a TREMENDOUS talent. RIP to "The Hair" as Dean Martin always called Glen due to his perfectly coiffed hairstyle.

They're starting to fall off the perch again.
Recent pas sings - Mervyn Rose (Aussie tennis), Golden girl Betty Cuthbert (Aussie), Doug Insole (England cricketer) and now Glen Campbell.
May they all RIP.
Interesting looking at Rose's playing record - long sets, played singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the same tournament, as they did then. These days most just play singles and get a bucket full of money.

Thanks Jeremy. A delightful song well sung. Gee, its almost fifty years ago.
