An article here showing the claimed removal of Bing from stores' Christmas play lists.
Statisticians and admen will be in their element.
But despite the headline Bing is still up there after all these years.

Just a passing fancy!

All that matters to me is what Christmas music is playing in my domicile and in my car as I travel. I can assure you that (as always) Mr. S and Bing will be getting their usual heavy amount of "airplay" from now thru the end of the year.

I have 2 parakeets. My female was going through a nervous time. I started playing Bing Christmas songs for her every night to calm her down. It worked. The parakeets love Bing. Bing is good therapy for a Happy Budgie! Maybe more people should listen to Bing to calm down during the holidays.

This may sound funny, but the same sort of thing happened to me a few years ago. Every weekend I'd listen to a Bing Crosby radio show as I'd make breakfast. During the Spring I opened up the sliding glass door leading to the porch. Any time I put Bing on a red Cardinal would land on the balcony gate, then his wife would show up. When Bing wasn't on they flew away. It was really neat. Every year for a couple years those Cardinals would come back and perch with Bing. But about 3 years ago they stopped coming, guess they're now perching on Bing's porch and listening to the real thing.
