In the UK, the BBC the BBC broadcasts a regular program(me) aimed at farmers - "Farming Today",
They have included an item about a pig farmer based in Yorkshire, who uses recordings of Bing to calm his pigs.
I think it is intended to be serious.
I have frequently heard of farmers playing music to animals.
I imagine that the playlists are actually compiled by the farmers themsevles however,

I notice my parakeets like Christmas music and Bing's songs. Bing does seem to calm them down and make them sleepy. I once had parakeets named Bing and Hope.
