British boxer Ricky Hatton has written a book (with Justyn Barnes) titled RICKY HATTON'S LAS VEGAS TALES, published this year. I believe Hatton fought in that city. On page 10 he wrote 'Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Sammy Davis Jr and Liberace were being paid up to $50 000 per week back then in then fifties' to perform in Las Vegas. That was news to me and Malcolm Macfarlane has confirmed that Hatton and Barnes got it wrong. Bing did not perform in that city in the 1950s, but did in 1976. Just another example of something being attributed to Bing incorrectly, a not uncommon occurrence back in the days when Bing was a mjor force in entertainment.
