One of the great stars never to appear with Bing on record was the singing barber, Perry Como.
They did appear on TV and all too briefly on radio.
Many years ago there was an LP covering a joint TV performance that made deliberate play of the absence of any joint recording, called ''Bing Crosby and Perry Como Cut An Album".
Now we can see the original TV, courtesy of Youtube -
Part 1
and part 2
While on the topic of Perry, I would mention that the biography ''Perry Como: A Biography and Complete Career Record'' by Malcolm Macfarlane and Ken Crossland is available in paperback.
Their book on Rosemary Clooney, due in July, eagerly awaited.

Ah! Mr.C and Mr.C ! Did Bing get his hair cut too while on Perry Como Show?

Also from Perry's show, about the most fun medley ever:
Bing and Perry sing "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" from Disney's Cinderella on one of Bing's Chesterfield shows, back when Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and Arthur Godfrey (who was also on the program) were all hawking cigarettes. I should upload that bit on youtube sometime!

I can't stream the video, but I do have an LP collecting the extremely long medleys they sang in the appearances they did on each other's shows--Very Delightful. Think of the album they might have made together had Ken Barnes been able to intervene shortly after that time!
