Bing's "Just a Gigolo" played over the final moments and closing credits of last night's episode of the critically acclaimed, multiple Emmy Award-winning TV drama, Mad Men. The show is set in the 1960's, and period music is often used on the soundtrack, particularly in the closing credits. Likewise, thematically appropriate older songs are sometimes employed -- thus the use of Bing's 1931 recording. A prestigious podium, to be sure. I wonder how many viewers were aware that they were hearing young Bing croon.
