Bing And The Pirates
I love that Bing owned my home baseball team - The Pittsburgh Pirates for a long time. Here are some pics of Bing showing support for the Pirates:

Re: Bing And The Pirates
An interesting collection.
One of the recurring themes of jokes in the radio shows of the earlier period of Bing's ownership was of guests mocking Bing in a variety of ways about how poorly the Pirates were performing. Did they in fact have a poor record in Bing's ownership?

Re: Bing And The Pirates
Just a little history, The Pittsburgh Pirates were formed in 1887, and Bing bought a controlling interest with a group of other businessmen in 1946. From 1946 to 1958, the Pirates had only one winning season in 1948. The Pirates though won the World Series in 1960.
