Bing featured on the Harry King radio show

Harry King of Radio Cumbria broadcast a nice tribute to Bing last Monday including an interview with Mary Crosby. If you want to hear it go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00g4dgx/Harry_King_25_04_2011/   It starts just before the one hour mark. Don't delay, the link will only work until Monday.

A good extended interview. The whole runs to well over 30 minutes with a few musical inserts, many of which are shortened.

A nice warm picture of her father from Mary and some interesting anecdotes about 'Dallas', the stage shows with the family, (with emphasis laid on Bing's generosity in sharing the platform with his family). Well worth a listen. In fact I'd say a 'must'.

I wonder how a small BBC regional station managed to secure such an item.

Over the next few days we all need to look out for tributes of one sort or another.

Re: Bing featured on the Harry King radio show

The interview with Mary Crosby dates from 2008 but nevertheless it's well worth hearing. Harry King originally interviewed me in 2008 and I gave him contact details for Mary. He followed up by coming to our Leeds meeting in 2008 and broadcast a 2 hour show from there.
