The wonderful movie HIGH SOCIETY begins with a delightful rendition of 'High Society Calypso' by Louis Armstrong and his band. Recently I listened to an archived broadcast of the late Rich Conaty's BIG BROADCAST (originally aired on wfuv in January 1916) which included a 1933 recording of 'High Society' by Eva Taylor. It sounded like the same tune, without the calypso rhythm, and I wonder if any other artists have recorded it.
