Several of Bing's movies were dramatized for radio broadcast.
These tended to be simplified to reduce the length, resulting in songs being cut out and the number of voiced characters reduced and parts of the story being covered by brief narrative, leaving a few set piece scenes.
One such was "Dixie" broadcast in the "LUX Radio Theater" series on 20 December 1943, with Dorothy Lamour.
