Over the last two days or so, my standing search, delivered via email every 24 hours, has thrown up numerous results for Bing - almost too numerous to look through in detail.

Good news, maybe, but after eliminating all the references to downloads and eBay offerings etc, not one contained real news directly related to Bing. 

The upside is that almost all were referring to Bing, his seasonal shows and songs, his sales of White Christmas, his role as the Voice of Christmas, etc., as the supreme comparator against which some current event/show/person/performer was being judged. 

So at least the name is being kept alive, and numbers of people whether publicists, journalists, or the like, feel that Bing's name still means something - apparently the ne plus ultra against which all else is judged.
