September of 1945

I recently posted on my You Tube channel a group of recordings Bing made back to back. Bing was at the height of his popularity but his voice on some of the songs seemed tired...

I like ‘Who’s Sorry Now’ and ‘Symphony’.
Sings with a lot of feeling.

That's an interesting selection. Like Ron, my favourites are 'Who's sorry now' and 'Symphony'. Delays caused by wartime meant that none of them were released in Australia in 1945. 'Symphony' came here in October 1946 (with 'Day by day') and became the top song of that year, with a version also by Freddy Martin.
