White Christmas - the show - to appear in Liverpool

Very apt reporting this. The CROSBY HERALD, no less, reports that 'White Christmas' is being put on in a theatre in Liverpool (home of the Beatles) to replace 'Snow White'.

For non British readers I would explain that Crosby is a town in Lancashire, north west England, close to Liverpool.

The performer taking the role of Bob Wallace is Aled Jones, who commenced his career as an angelic faced choirboy in the early 1980s and had a number of best selling albums with sales of 6 million. I have some difficulty in seeing him stepping into Bing's shoes. He is perhaps best known for his recording of 'Walking In The Air' but has developed a career as a radio and TV presenter with some singing engagements mainly in a choral context. He now has a light lyric baritone voice and has had some CD success in that capacity.

The Danny Kaye role is taken by a ballet dancer, Adam Cooper.
