Harlan Lattimore (1908-1980)
Here is a story I wrote on 1930s singer Harlan Lattimore. He sang mostly with the band of Don Redman but he was known as The Black Bing Crosby. Like other Crosby-like crooner Dick Todd, Harlan Lattimore also had a sad life...

Fascinating, David. I wonder if I have one of his 78s, never having known of the significance...?

He recorded with Don Redman from about 1932/1933 to 1936. I have all of his recordings with the Redman band if you are ever interested. He was quite good.
