SADLY AFTER 16 YEARS, BOARDHOST HAS DECIDED TO ELIMINATE THE FREE FORUM OPTION, AND THIS BOARD WILL HAVE TO BE A PAID BOARD AS OF SEPTEMBER 26TH. There has been a lot of interest keeping this board going. Let me know if you are interested in helping with this board. The more people that give, the cheaper it will end up being. Malcolm has been in touch to inform that very sadly, Bing friend and much devoted fan of long standing, George O'Reilly has died. He passed away during Thursday night at the age of ninety-nine.
For any who are unfamiliar with George's good works with regard to Bing, he was among many other things, the deviser of Bing's 1967 television special "A Little Bit of Irish", also known as "Bing Crosby in Ireland", which can hopefully be seen here:
George himself can be seen talking about Bing on a 1999 edition of UK's London Weekend Television's arts programme, "The South Bank Show", which was devoted to our favourite singer.
If you don't wish to view the whole programme, you can see George by immediately forwarding 37:10 minutes in.
Rest in peace, George.
