An interesting interview followed by footage of Bing at the Toronto racetrack from 1966, made by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation CBC. I cannot remember ever having seen this. Have you?

Thanks Frans. That was an interesting interview, which I'd not seen before. Bing enjoyed puffing on his pipe didn't he. When he gave up smoking he sent one of his pipes to a long-time Crosby fan in Australia, Shirley Naylor. Shirley also had a Bing Crosby rose in her garden in Orange, New South Wales (about 160 miles west of Sydney.

I remember Shirley and was in contact during the 1950’s.
I was in the Club Crosby in those days. Never met but think we were in Canada around the same time 1957/58. In 1962 I met and visited Pres Thelma Hardy in Christchurch NZ.

Graham,
Another member I met through the Club Crosby was Priscilla Koernig in 1957 and we went around SAN Fran to a couple of places.
We crossed paths again at Gonzaga.
Priscilla was really devoted to Bing and knew him and attend the Crosby Pro-Ams at Pebble Beach.
In the men’s locker room there was a huge photo of Bing - that was about 1979-81 but I often wonder if it is still there.
Friends from Bermagui recently visited Jasper Park Lodge early June and photos of Bing are still on display there as I was sent a couple of photos - so that is nice to know they are still on display in The Lodge.
