Bit early for Christmas for me. About a week before is plenty of time.
I mean, we don’t celebrate our birthdays 7 weeks or more beforehand.
My own problem is I was born 11.20pm, 19th. February pre daylight saving time which is the last minutes of  Aquarius as Pisces starts at midnight.
I regard myself as an Aquarius person.

Tony was always very thankful to Bing for paving the way for all crooners that followed him and gave so many a career.

Today, Saturday 15th. July we are having a small get together of us Bing nuts in Chatswood in suburban Sydney. Probably 5 of us travelling from near and afar.

I’m sure he will. Think I mentioned that he phoned me at work in London after I invited him to my golf course.
That was when he was in London for a week recording with Fred, but no golf clubs

I’m in Bermagui and 1st. Sunday of month I travel to Sydney for brother’s family gathering.
Can travel up on a Friday for a Saturday meeting. Usually head south again on Monday from Sutherland station. Brother is at Menai

Similar Blonde56 experience I had in L.A. In a shop saying that can get autographed photos of any of the stars. I had a feeling they probably signed them themselves. They also said you mean Bill Cosby. This was in the late 1990’s.
And Bing with 3 Hollywood footpath stars.

Looks a bit like Lindsay and he wasn’t  born or even a twinkle in the eye.

I think Bing was ‘open season’ for the tabloids as he took Mona Freeman out a couple of times and they were making stuff up - the second Mrs. Crosby?
It was a difficult period for him after Dixie’s death.

Howard Crosby is a son of Ted’s from his second marriage.
Have had dealings with Howard and he lives in Walla Walla, Washington State.
He often does presentations of Bing and can sing a few notes as well.
He does presentations in Spokane now and again.

The film version of ALADDIN, while in a jail cell is much better than the time limit on the 3 minute 78.

I was on guard duty along Missenden Road, Camperdown in Sydney in 1954, or guard of honour with fellow National Service men/boys.
Later I saw her in downtown Sydney, put camera above head and took a photo.
It was a lovely one of a policeman’s pith helmet.
I thought she may make 100 and she didn’t seem all that bad when seeing the new British PM.

Bing always sent a letter saying what he was sort of up to - latest movie - and saying photo was coming under separate cover which arrived a couple of days later-a 10” x 8” photo protected by a piece of cardboard so photo wouldn’t be bent.
Bing was probably the only one to do this.
Have you ever seen the photo of Bing sitting on the desk with a pile of envelopes (photos) to be posted.
He certainly was a rare one compared to the rest of Hollywood.
I’ve also been very fortunate in meeting a number of the Crosby family and they all certainly had their feet solidly on the ground.
