Books on Vocal Jazz and Classic Pop by Will Friedwald

Dear all,

I've been wanting to upload this video to my YouTube channel for a long time, and I've finally gotten around to it this morning. It's a review of my five favorite books on vocal jazz and classic pop by the New York-based critic Will Friedwald, who in my opinion is the best writer on those subjects currently active. I thought the video would be interesting to Crosby fans because several of these books talk about Bing at length. In fact, I've reviewed the last one of them for the forthcoming issue of BING Magazine. Here's the video, in case you're interested:

Best,

AGF

Thanks Anton. I've read the first three Friedwall books you described and agree that they are excellent: informative and very readable.

Thanks, Graham! As I say on the video, Friedwald is my favorite vocal jazz and classic pop critic. The last two books I review on the video are absolutely essential for the depth of information, the knowledge, and the quality of the writing. I encourage you (and everyone else) to seek them out!
