Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby: Why Their Jazz Singing Mattered

Keith Richmond tells me that the latest Mosaic online journal has just surfaced with the above mentioned article. It is the second item on this webpage:http://www.mosaicrecords.com/?utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_medium=email&utm_content=http%3a%2f%2fwww.mosaicrecords.com&utm_campaign=21671438&utm_umg_et=266835189&ET_CID=21671438&ET_RID=266835189

Thanks Malcolm. It's great to have Bing remembered thus.

Absolutely fascinating... As Graham says, it's great to have Bing (and Satchmo) subject to such serious musical analysis. I'm away from home at the moment, but as soon as I get back I'm going to listen again to all the tracks mentioned with fresh ears.

Thanks for this post, Malcolm.
I don't have this book, so just ordered it from Amazon.

Like Jeremy, I will also be re-visiting these records with new listening gear...
