Just had the following email from Jim Reilly.
I thought you would like to know that Angel Radio are now broadcasting A Bing Crosby internet station which started today at noon.
The website is http://bingcrosby.org.uk
It can also be obtained by connecting to the Angel Radio Site and clicking on the Bing Crosby button on the ‚ÄúRadio‚Ä
I hope this might be of interest
This is great! Thanks, Malcolm. And well done, Jim!
I've only been able to listen in for short samples, but what I've heard is very good indeed. Jim Reilly is doing a good job. Last night he was presenting much relatively unusual material, in good quality, from AFRS broadcasts, Kraft Music Hall and Philco Radio Time. At the time of writing this he is working through Bing performing songs from the musicals, with a concentration on Rodgers and Hammerstein.
The site overall has some deficiencies - some of the potentially interesting links don't seem to lead anywhere, but possibly that will be resolved, and response times seem a little slow.
Jim mentions addressing it via the Angel Radio main site, which is http://www.angelradio.co.uk/
There is quite a bit of other interest there with five streaming stations and links to a number of fan sites of other major artists (though some seem to be dead).
The Bing Crosby radio station previously referred to now has a schedule up - I quote -
Our programmes are on a loop which is expanding each time we obtain a new programme. At the moment the loop runs for 45 hours and then starts back at the beginning. You may drop into the loop in the middle of a programme, just sit back and enjoy the journey.
Programmes currently in the loop -

Angel Radio, the award winning local radio station based in Havant, Hampshire on the south coast of England, has suffered from fire damage and will be off air for some time.
The station is highly regarded and specialises in pre 1960s music.
The "reach" of the station was very wide, via the internet.
Jim Reilly, very well known to Crosby fans, is a presenter there and has hosted many shows related to Bing. He is of course joint author with Wg Wiggins of the recently published discography.

It is said that they are covered by insurance but also that many of their old shellac 78s were destroyed. It might not be too easy to replace them.
