This weekend, Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, The Historic Bal Theatre in San Leandro, CA presents,
Bob & Bing - Road to San Leandro, A triubte to Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. The show is staged as a 1940's NBC radio broadcast complete with an on-stage staff announcer reading vintage commercial copy of the period with a humorous touch, presenting recorded jingles of the era and interacting with Bob, Bing and their leading lady from their famour "Road" series pictures, Dorothy Lamour plus visits from Red Skelton, Jack Benny and Jimmy Durante. It's a holiday music filled, laugh loaded, nostalgic trip back to the golden days of radio and movies. The show includes a special Salute to Pearl Harbor to honor our service men and women of all wars. Lynn Roberts stars as Bob Hope, costarring Bob Pasch as Bing Crosby with Cassie Miller and her tribute to Dorothy Lamour, featuring Chuck Carson as the NBC Staff Announcer.
