AARP Magazine

In the April/May 2015 issue of the AARP (it is an American medical fund) Magazine there is an article about Rich Conaty - announcer WFUV-FM New York programme called The Big Broadcast. Sunday nights 8.00pm to midnight).
In the article there are photos of Duke Ellington, Ethel Waters, Cab Calloway and our Bing (looks like a shot from either of his 2 Universal film so).
Rich says ..."There were plenty of intimate singers pre-Bing, but he put crooning on the map. And he was a jazz singer, too, a solid scat singer".
"..... I was a teenager and Bing Crosby was doing Christmas specials..."
Rich has about 5,000  78's and a couple of thousand CD's.
He spins tunes from the 20's and 30's. He is 60 and lives in Hudson, NY.
The article heading is "All that (Prewar) Jazz.
You may be able to view the article on the AARP website.
