RIP: Joe Franklin

My Grandfather loved Joe Franklin and his nostalgic show...

He was a boring interviewer, but the stars loved him and he knew more about the "good old days" of entertainment than anyone else!

Re: RIP: Joe Franklin

Thanks David for informing us. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Kathryn Crosby Event and then talking to him at a few of her later events. I even ate at his restaurant in the city 2 times. While you ate you were able to watch his interview with Bing on TV. Which to me was the best Bing interview. Anyway, Joe signed something for me at one of the Kathryn events and posed for some pictures. I have everything buried in my closet somewhere. RIP Joe!  Thanks for taking the time to chat with many Bing fans and for the Great shows you had through the years!

Peace and Love!

Re: RIP: Joe Franklin

I like the quote attributed to him. He described his line-ups as being combinations of
"the greats, the near-greats, the ingrates, the has-beens and the never-weres".
