In the opening scene, Bing can be heard singing "Do You Hear What I Hear" on a car radio. It was a nice surprise.

Recording » Bing And The Noel Coward Medley » 24/2/2019 7:02 am

Nice one, Jeremy. Bing's Noel Coward medley was recorded from one of his shows at the London Palladium in 1977, just before he died.

As you may know, I keep an eye on the Bing tracks played on the various BBC radio stations. I noticed that Kelly-Anne Smith on the local BBC station for Coventry & Warwickshire was playing Bing every week so I dropped her a line thanking her and telling her about BING magazine. She was very pleased to hear from me and she said that she would make a Bing album her album of the week on March 3.
See https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p070th0j
Her 3-hour show is called “Easy Sunday” and usually goes out at 12 noon GMT although she will not be broadcasting on March 3. If you would like to hear her last show, go to https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06zksvy
It's a very good show, packed with our kind of music. She can be contacted at kelly-anne.smith01@bbc.co.uk

Dieter wrote:

Bing´s first live appearance in German TV on early December in Saturday prime time show (Rudi Carrell), a German TV special with Caterina Valente was signed(C. V. writes about that and her two US TV-shows in one of her two autobiographies in an own chapter "Mr. C.", 4pages), Margret Dünser, who interviewed Bing, has made plans with Bing about a TV special (Bing should have sung before the scenery of various European cities some of his great hits)

Dieter, I'd love to know what Caterina Valente said about Bing in her book. There doesn't appear to be an English language version available.

I was interviewed by Ciaran O’Connor of Dublin’s 98FM station in December for a documentary called The History of Christmas Chart Toppers, which looked at all the iconic Christmas number ones throughout the years, as well as other notable Christmas songs, and the stories behind them. Ciaran mainly wanted to talk about “White Christmas” but I led him into other Crosby Christmas songs including the Bing ‘n’ Bowie duet. It played out on air 4 times over Christmas and got a great response. The documentary has since been released as a podcast and can be heard at…

The Bing segment is at the beginning.

Bing sings the words "Just a Song at Twilight" as part of the song "Love's Old Sweet Song". Could there be some confusion?

Yes, you're right. He also wore it on his appearance on the Tonight show in 1976. The prize is a free day at my gym here in Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK. Let me know when you want to come.

Another possible film was the aim of Ron Hall of Festival Films. He wrote a script years ago and is wondering whether to update it. I found it very interesting to read. Have a look at https://www.fesfilms.com/r2h.pdf

Greg Van Beek has stumbled across this. Anyone remember the occasions when he wore it? Answers tomorrow.

Zane, I haven't heard of any plans for the supplement. Again, check with Wig for the latest info.
