We're 15 hours into Christmas Day while some places haven't started yet.
Time to rest now after a couple of bends of the elbow and Christmas Pud.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from 'down under' where we look like having it quite 'white' from the heat and in the north some places will be 'white' from the snow and ice.
Wherever you are - all the very best and as our friend sings - it's not the things you do at Christmas time, but the Christmas things you do all year through.
And our cricketers on Boxing Day will be looking for a ton from the bat but not from the weather gauge.

Just watched on WAVE channel 24 INSP, Bing's Christmas show with Robert Goulet and Mary Costa and of course the family. Bing mentions Berlin writing WC about 25 years ago - so show from 1966/67.  The programme info said 2000.
Next week - Perry Como.

I like some of the songs from 'silk stockings'.
Remember seeing the film in Seattle in 1957. Another film in LA was 'invitation to the dance' near Wiltshire Blvd in 1957 and in Vancouver, where I was then living 'around the world'
Like the Astaire song from SS - I like the looks of you.

I. Really liked that scene in 'College Humour' and also 'If I Were Alladin' - movie version better that recording of the song.

I really liked Dick. Have a couple of cd's back in Aus.
'It Might As Well Be Spring' is a real favourite of mine.
Nice easy style like Perry too, but our man Bing was the leader.

Friday night (last night) on P S/Tv  out of Seattle I watched stage production of Noel Coward's 'Present Laughter' filmed in New York.
After that the station said that end of November will be 'Holiday Inn' a stage production filmed in New York.
This will be an interesting exercise to see who is playing the Bing part.

1957 the first time. A couple of other times after that plus phone conversations.

I have it on VHS and poor quality too. Didn't go much on it but maybe because of the poor quality and perhaps with a decent presentation it might be more enjoyable.

According to the article Ken was 110 when died. However, checking up on the web he was born in 1900 and died 1984. Article states he was born in 1874.
Always thought he was about the same age as Bing - just 2-3 years difference.

20 punters turned up and sold 1 CD.
We are keeping the CD's for a few weeks and try and sell more. Perry is galavanting in Europe somewhere till end of month. Might be able to sell a couple more in Roxy Gallery shop or theatre.

For my double bill today (Saturday 14/10) Errol Flynn followed by Bing there were 25 punters attended. I was a bit disappointed but that was more than some attendance at first run movies (we show Friday, Saturday, Monday 7.00pm). Sold one sing along CD. Hope to sell more by leaving them on show at theatre.

Just played (Friday 11.00am Pacific time) the BBC show.
Interesting too. Maybe she was thinking of Tam...
Thursday's Centralia Chronicle gave about 8"of column to the Roxy double bill on Saturday.
Just hope now that the punters turn up - it won't be through the lack of trying.
A well known identity 'fell off the perch' and his service is at 1.00pm Saturday, our movie double starts at 2.00pm. Not sure if it will make a difference or not.
I've had good printed space in the press.

Just caught the tail end of the BBC 2 radio show and it was said that Summer Wind was the last recorded song and not Once in  While.
Will try and see if they will be holding the programme for a few days.
Stumbled across the show from 11/10/1987 with Ken Barnes - 28 minutes.
